Pupprrr App

Objective: Create an intuitive app that enables city residents to find dogs for short, 15-minute playdates to help reduce stress. The app targets individuals who, due to financial or personal circumstances, cannot own a dog themselves.

Challenges:

  • Unified Platform: The app had to serve both dog owners and users seeking playdates within a single platform. Unlike other apps that separate service providers and users, this app needed to integrate both functionalities seamlessly.
  • Third-Party Software: The development was constrained by the limitations of third-party software, both in terms of functionality and design. This required creative solutions to maximize the potential of the available tools.
  • Budget Constraints: The project was limited by a tight budget, which affected the scope of functionality and data storage capabilities. We had to prioritize essential features and find cost-effective ways to deliver a high-quality user experience.
  • User Experience: Ensuring the app was easy to use for both dog owners and playdate seekers was crucial. This involved creating a simple, user-friendly interface that made finding and scheduling playdates straightforward.
  • Security and Trust: Building a community where users felt safe and trusted each other with their pets required robust security measures and verification processes, adding another layer of complexity to the development.
  • Rapid Development: Given the constraints and requirements, the development process had to be efficient and adaptable, allowing for quick iterations and adjustments based on user feedback and evolving needs.
